  • Build a network of grassroots digital educators (Jan-Mitras) across India.

What MDIF Is Doing

Digital Literacy Programs

  • Workshops and online training sessions in local languages.
  • Digital learning bootcamps for rural women, seniors, and students.
  • Free certification courses that upskill youth in employable digital skills.

Community Outreach and Grassroots Engagement

  • Village-level “Tech Sewa Kendras” run by trained volunteers.
  • Partnerships with NGOs and schools to host awareness drives.
  • Creation of “Jan-Mitra” (People’s Tech Volunteers) — local digital mentors.

Affordable & Localized Tech Promotion

  • Supporting development and adoption of low-cost, easy-to-use applications for daily needs like payments, government services, health, and education.
  • Translation and simplification of key tech tools into regional languages.
  • Evaluating and promoting public tech utilities that truly serve the underserved.

Collaborating with Institutions

  • Working with universities to integrate digital inclusion in education.
  • Partnering with telecom and device companies to enable affordable access.
